The Patna Food Festival was founded by Rachana Singh with a simple yet powerful idea. While other states across India host celebrated culinary events, Bihar had long awaited its own platform to showcase its rich flavours, traditions and culinary heritage.

Every state in India had a stage for its food. Bihar deserved one too — built at home, in Patna, by the people who cook it best.

The festival was created as that platform — a vibrant stage where Bihar's food culture shines, heritage meets innovation, and local flavours come together with India's diverse culinary legacy.

Three pillars, one plate

Everything the festival does rests on three ideas. First, Bihar's heritage: from age-old delicacies like litti chokha, khaja and sattu-based creations to forgotten recipes revived for modern palates. Second, India together: bringing chefs, cuisines and food cultures from across the country to Patna, creating a melting pot of taste and tradition. Third, a cultural bridge: elevating Bihar's culinary identity while welcoming national and global influences, fostering exchange and pride.

More than a culinary event

It is a movement to elevate Bihar's identity on the national stage. By blending tradition with modern presentation, the festival empowers local artisans, chefs and entrepreneurs while inviting the nation to discover the flavours of Bihar. It is a celebration of heritage, innovation and unity through food.
